Ajimegor Ikuenobe is a medical doctor who has been actively involved in health care, community service and development for over a decade, with a special focus on Early Childhood Development (ECD). A 2017 Mandela Washington Fellow, Ajimegor is currently working on building an all-inclusive stakeholder platform, using the collective impact framework to address challenges surrounding Early Childhood Development in Nigeria, and Africa at large. She is the executive director/ founder of Lead Oak Women and Children Foundation, an NGO, where she leads a dynamic team to initiate, design and execute initiatives that tackle issues surrounding ECD in Nigeria. This NGO runs an Integrated, Early Childhood Development Program using a 3-pronged approach-; 'FEED A CHILD', 'EQUIP A MOTHER', and 'EDUCATE A CHILD ' projects which has reached hundreds of vulnerable children aged 0-5, and their less privileged mothers. She is also a co- founder of Convergence for Early Childhood Development in Africa (CECD Africa), a social enterprise promoting sustainable development and national progress through ECD programs, as well as the convener of the parental knowledge, skill and support workshop, 'ECD FOR MUMS'.
