Accion Venture Lab, the seed-stage investment initiative of financial inclusion leader Accion, is looking to support financial technology startups in Nigeria and beyond with access to capital and capacity building support.  Join this session to learn more about Accion Venture Lab’s investment approach as well as recommendations for raising funds for your fintech venture.  After the presentation we will conduct one on one office hours with entrepreneurs to learn more about their ventures and see if there are opportunities to support their growth.

Ashley Lewis is an Investment Officer with Accion Venture Lab, leading the team's deal activity and portfolio engagement across West Africa. She has ten years of experience across financial services, investments and social ventures. Ashley has dedicated her time to investing in and scaling social ventures across Sub-Saharan Africa and South East Asia. Prior to joining Venture Lab, Ashley worked as an Investment Consultant and Early Stage Venture Accelerator Manager with LGT Venture Philanthropy in both Thailand and Uganda. Coryell Stout is the Portfolio Engagement Manager for Venture Lab, providing strategic and operational support to portfolio companies across Africa. Coryell has eight years of experience across business strategy and operations in emerging markets. Prior to joining Accion, Coryell advised early-stage, East African-based hardware companies on their manufacturing, distribution, and go-to-market strategies. Previously, she was the COO at One Degree Solar, where she founded the Kenya office, expanded operations across East Africa, and oversaw the launch of 4 new products in 13 markets. She was also COO at Generation Enterprise, a business incubator for youth entrepreneurs in Nigeria, and worked on microfinance initiatives for CARE International and Plan International in Ghana and The Jaipur Rugs Foundation in India.
