Oluseye Soyode- Johnson

Oluseye is keen on assembling local and global innovation stakeholders around high-impact STEM initiatives that accelerate local application of cutting-edge technology in Africa, while ensuring visible, viable outcomes. He successfully launched NASA Space Apps Challenge in Nigeria, which has become an annual 4-day multi-city initiative that leverages community-led innovation to explore and develop locally applicable technology solutions for space and earth-use. The program has run for four years consecutively, and has become a year-long platform to foster Nigerian space innovation, as well as develop strong gender and youth project inclusion. With Space Apps Nigeria, Oluseye is focused on inspiring a new generation to solve local, in ways that can intrinsically scale global.

As Innovation and Business Development Expert, at the Ericsson Innovation Hub, Oluseye is driving bold, innovative products that accelerate the potential of some of the largest TMT players across Africa; while utilizing the industry’s unrivaled reach and technology, to delight and empower Africans.

Oluseye is also Regional Partner at the Africa Technology Foundation, an organization focused on providing global resources to technology and media ecosystems across Africa. With ATF, Oluseye executes ecosystem-entry engagements such as Evernote EMEA, DEMO Africa Launchpad and Relativity School ‘Nollywood Meets Hollywood’ program.

Oluseye studied Applied Computing at the University of Buckingham, UK. In 2012, Oluseye was selected as one of 5 Demo-god Award winners, from Africa’s top 40 Technology Startups at DEMO Africa.
